ASP (Active Server Page) - Definition
ASP is an abbreviation for Active Server Page. It is a web page that has one or more ASP scripts embedded in it. ASP scripts are like small computer programs that run when an ASP based web page is accessed. You can tell if you are accessing an active server page if .asp is the suffix of the page URL. ASP pages are processed on a web server first before they are sent to a web browser, like Mozilla Firefox.
