Bandwidth - Definition
Bandwidth is the amount of data capable of being sent from one computer to another computer through a special connection and within a specific amount of time. These frequencies are expressed in Kilobits Per Second (Kbps) or even Megabits Per Second (Mbps), passing over a particular transmission channel. The rate at which the data is transmitted through a channel is determined by the bandwidth. The greater the bandwidth — the more information transferred at one time over that particular channel.
