Beveled - Definition

Beveling is a method of adding geometric detail to polygonal surfaces. It can be used to add shading around the edges of graphics such as buttons and banners to give the illusion that they are jutting out from the page in 3D. The Bevel is a relatively common effect in graphic editors such as Photoshop and is often used to enhance the user’s experience on the Web, creating a sense of interactivity and realism.
