Bookmark - Definition
A Bookmark can be considered any saved location. It is used in several types of software, including electronic help files and tutorials. Bookmarks are especially useful while browsing the Web, where it can be difficult to remember a lengthy website address in order to return to it. Most Web browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, have built-in bookmark facilities, whereby the browser stores the URL along with the page name. This way, you don’t have to always type in the Internet address each time you visit one of your favorite sites. Each saved URL is known as a Bookmark and in Internet Explorer they are called Favorites.
