A Desktop Theme is basically a stored set of colors, icons, fonts, sounds, and other objects that give life to your desktop. Therefore, if the default appearance and sounds are not to your liking, you can choose a different theme. Windows Vista™ includes two desktop themes for you to choose from.
To Change A Windows Vista Desktop Theme
- Right-click on an empty area of the desktop and select Personalize.
- Then click on Theme.
- Explore the items on the Theme drop-down menu and select the theme you want.
- Then click on OK to apply the settings.
- Windows Vista will then change to the desktop theme you selected.
Note: The two themes that Windows Vista includes are: Windows Vista and Windows Classic. Each person who has a user account on the computer can choose and display his or her own theme.
