CPU (Central Processing Unit) - Definition
CPU is an abbreviation for Central Processing Unit. It is a computer’s main processing chip where the information is processed and calculations are done. In other words, the CPU is the computer’s brains, the actual chip that takes all computing tasks, and interprets and executes them. The CPU is responsible for overseeing all of a computer’s calculations and operations. The faster your processor, the more operations it can execute per second. The more operations you have per second, the faster things happen in your applications; thus, video streams more smoothly, and spreadsheets can calculate more quickly.
