Default Option - Definition

The Default Option, associated with computers, is an option users can choose within programs or software to set automatic choices. These selections would remain in tact and used each time that particular task is performed, until and unless an alternative is made. For instance, when using Microsoft Word, the user can set the default font to Arial 12, which would be used for every document until the default option is changed.
