Flash ROM - Definition
A Flash ROM is a type of ROM technology which can be electrically reprogrammed while it is still inside the Personal Computer. Flash is the overwhelmingly most common storage medium of BIOS in PCs today, as it can be upgraded via a software program without even having to open the computer on most systems.
