Font Cartridge - Definition
A Font Cartridge is a set of bitmapped or outline fonts for one or more typefaces contained in a plug-in module available for some printers. As with downloadable fonts, printers using Font Cartridges can produce characters in many sizes and styles other than those created by the fonts built into the printer itself. Another way one can load fonts into a printer is to download them from the computer’s storage device.
