HTML Tags - Definition
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) Tags are the instructions used in a Web Page document that instruct a web browser, such as Mozilla Firefox, to perform certain actions with the text. For example, Tags can be used to change the font size and tags can be used to embed (fix or set securely) images into a web page. Tags are words or phrases surrounded by the less than (<) and greater than (>) symbols. For instance, to add bolding to a section of text, one can enclose the text between the <strong> </strong> HTML tags.
