Windows Vista™ not only allows us to drag small programs, called gadgets, to the Desktop from the Windows Sidebar, but also allows us to move these Desktop gadgets back to the Windows Sidebar. Follow the steps below to move a gadget back to the Windows Sidebar from the Windows Desktop.
To Remove A Gadget From The Windows Vista Desktop
- Right-click on the gadget you want to remove from the Desktop and put back on the Sidebar.
- Then click on Attach to Sidebar.
- Windows Vista will then remove that Desktop gadget and place it back onto the Sidebar.
Note: When you remove a gadget from the Desktop and place it back on to the Windows Sidebar, you may notice that the gadget is smaller in size. This is because Sidebar gadgets are fixed in size.
