SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) - Definition
SCSI is an abbreviation for Small Computer System Interface, usually pronounced “Scuzzy”. SCSI is a standard interface used to facilitate the transmission of data within a computer bus. It originated as a 1981 compromise between two competing protocols (SASI from Shugart Technology, and BYSE from NCR Corporation) and is still common in high-end servers, peripheral devices, and user workstations.
