Streaming Media - Definition
Streaming Media is a way to enhance web sites by integrating video and audio with text-based content. The name refers to the delivery method of the medium rather than the medium itself. Unlike downloading a video or audio file separately and then playing it back later, streaming media begins to play when a web page with the embedded streaming video or audio downloads on a user’s browser, such as Mozilla Firefox.
