Creating A Suspend Shortcut For Windows XP

  1. Right Click anywhere on the Desktop.
  2. Then point to New, and then click on Shortcut.
  3. Type in the following phrase: rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll, SetSuspendState
  4. Now click on the Next button to continue.
  5. Type in a name for the shortcut, and then click Finish.
  6. Windows will place the shortcut on your Desktop for you.
  7. Now you can click on this shortcut to put your system into Stand-by Mode.
