UltraDMA / UltraATA - Definition
Ultra DMA/Ultra ATA is a type of interface protocol designed to deliver data transfer rates up to 33 megabytes. The Ultra DMA was developed by Quantum Corporation and Intel. The burst mode, data transfers this supports is twice as fast as the previous PC disk drive. The Ultra ATA is a version of the AT Attachment that produces fast speeds.
