Web Mail - Definition

Web Mail refers to an Internet based interface that allows you to sign in to retrieve your e-mail. Most free e-mail services, such as Google Gmail, Microsoft Hotmail, and Yahoo! Mail offer web mail interfaces so you can send, receive, and organize your e-mail on the Web. If you own your own web site, many web hosting companies also offer a web mail interface to use to retrieve mail sent to your domain name. Web Mail is convenient since you can check your mail from any computer as long as you have an Internet connection.
